The ingredient Forskolin is on Dr. Mehmet Oz's Best Belly-Blasting Supplements List!
Forskolin (coleus forskohlii) - This plant-based supplement is sourced from a member of the mint and lavender family, and is native to the mountains of Asia. It is thought to work to increase your metabolic rate, so you can burn fat more efficiently.
Researchers have found that Forskolin (coleus forskohlii) can help to promote the breakdown of fats in human fat cells. It may also release fatty acids from adipose tissue, which results in increased thermogenesis (fat burning), resulting in loss of body fat and, theoretically, increased lean body mass. The basic function of forskolin is the triggering of the enzyme, adenylate cyclase, which supports and increases cyclic adenosine monophosphate (cAMP) on the cellular level. Cyclic AMP (cAMP) is perhaps the most crucial cell-regulating complex which triggers several other important enzymes necessary for proper cellular functions.1
